A period of Premiership strength was the thing to address last season, with Chelsea winning the class by eight clear focuses. The Blues won 18 of their 19 matches at Stamford Bridge, drew the other and simply looked helpless to overcome after the title was closed up. 

The Champions League evaded chief Jose Mourinho for the subsequent season running, with his side slamming out in the primary knockout stage to Barcelona. He has reacted by marking two prominent players this late spring. 

AC Milan striker Andriy Shevchenko, desired by some as the world’s best striker, endorsed for £30 million while Germany commander Michael Ballack showed up on a free exchange from Bayern Munich. 

Shevchenko scored 127 objectives in 208 Serie An appearances for Milan in the wake of blasting onto the scene with Dinamo Kiev in 1997. Ballack has demonstrated to be an objective scoring midfielder, scoring 44 objectives in 107 class appearances for Bayern Munich and tracking down the net multiple times in 68 counterparts for his country. 

An entire host of players have been dispatched out of the club as Mourinho pursues the great prize of the Champions League. Hernano Crespo withdrew for Inter Milan, long serving Eidur Gudjohnsen left for Barcelona, Damien Duff in a stun £5 million move to Newcastle and Asier Del Horno got back to Spain among others.
